Belize Archeological sites can be divided in three regions:

The first region is the Central Region. This part of Belize includes:

•  Caracol, the most important site in Belize
•  Floral Park
•  Pacbitun
•  Xunantunich

The Northern Region includes:

•  Altun Ha
•  Cerros
•  Cuello
•  Lamanai
•  La Milpa
•  Marco Gonzalez
•  Nohmul
•  Santa Rita - Chetumal

The Southern Region includes

•  Nim Li Punit
•  Lubaantun
•  Uxbenka

The book An Archaeological Guide to Northern Central America is an excellent reference to most Mayan sites in Guatemala, Honduras and El Salvador. It includes maps of the sites and travel tips. It is outdated but, hey, some of this ruins are thousands of year old, so most information is still current.
