Orange Walk hosts some important Mayan ruins like Lamanai, Cuello, Las Milpas an Noh Mul. It is also home of the Rio Bravo Conservation Area (located 3 and half hours away from Belize). The population of Orange Walk District is 43,800 (2004 according to City Population website ). It has an extension of 1,790 square miles (4,636 square km). It's capital is Orange Walk City with a population of 15,000.
